Putting together plastic models was once a rite of passage for nearly every boy. Though video games and virtual reality headsets are taking its toll, plastic model kits are still alive and well in the UK. Revell, an old name in model-making, is the first name I went to when I purchased a 1:72 scale Stearman Kaydet, a US Army and Navy trainer during the second World War. I’ll report my experience putting it together in a later post.
